What big dreams are you going for right now?
Years ago, I enrolled in this pricey woo-woo course on living your best life (with a heap of serious hesitation, and a sliver of hope). One of the modules was about daring to create dreams for yourself. 12 in fact. Do you know how hard it was to come up with ONE dream, let alone 12?!
I did it though! I dared to create 12 big bold dreams for myself, and I had to do a double take on some of what came out when I dared to dream big: desires that had been lying dormant, practically my whole life! Just waiting to be seen and maybe even fulfilled? Dreams are weird though because they can feel unattainable and selfish – when in reality they are entirely possible and maybe even calling to you to replenish yourself through them.
One of those lifelong dreams that bubbled up was dancing ballet – like frilly pink tutu and all! As a busy middle-aged working mother of two, that sounded Looney Tunes. Not only did it feel like I had missed the boat with that dream, but it felt like I was in an entirely different body of water at this point in my life. It was too late.
Or was it?
One decision: to try an adult beginner ballet class (and risk making a giant idiot out of myself) changed everything for me. I fell in love, and I never looked back. I’m living my ballet dream today.
